Traffic Control - Apply Traffic Control Plans (Yellow Card)
 
This two day course provides training for staff that are required to select and make minor modifications to existing Traffic Control Plans (TCP) to suit work locations.


Course Requirements:
  • Chairs and tables
  • Projector screen (or large blank white wall)
  • White board
Duration: 1 day
 
Pre-Requisites:
  • Students must meet adequate literacy requirements
  • Students must hold a valid OH&S Construction Induction card (NSW, QLD, VIC, SA accepted)
Who should complete this course:
  • Field Staff
Course Content: This course covers both theory and practical aspects of Traffic Control Plans, including
  • Identify safety implications of traffic control at road works
  • Set up/close down traffic control devices 
  • Operate a 2-way radio 
  • Check, clean and store equipment on completion
Assessment: Assessment is throughout the course.
 
Outcome: On successful completion, participants receive a Statement of Completion in “Apply Traffic Control Plans” otherwise known as a Yellow Card. An RTA Traffic Control Apply Traffic Plans card will also be issued.
 
What to Bring:
  • Green/White Construction Induction card
  • Pen

Please note:

Traffic Controller Cards may be collected from our Parramatta office. Students will be notified when the cards are received from the RTA. Alternatively cards may be posted to students at a charge of $15.00 (registered post, person to person) payable on the day of the course.
