Responsible Service of Alcohol - NSW (SITFAB009A)

This one day training course is mandatory for persons selling, serving or supplying alcohol in NSW.

On- Site Requirements: 

  • Chairs and tables
  • White board
  • Projector screen (or large blank wall)
  • TV/DVD player

Duration: 6hrs.

Pre-Requisites: There is no pre-requisite for this course.

Who should do this course: RSA training applies to:
  • Licensees
  • Approved managers
  • Staff, including promotional staff involved in the sale, supply and service of alcohol
  • Volunteers, including club directors who have liquor service responsibilities
  • Security Officers
Course Content:
  • Legislative framework
  • Alcohol guidelines
  • Strategies to prevent intoxication

Assessment: At the end of the course you are required to successfully complete a written assessment.

Outcome: On successful completion, participants receive a Statement of Attainment in “Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol SITFAB009A” as part of Certificate II in Hospitality Operations. 

Individual Requirements:
  • Pen
  • 1 form of Photo ID (i.e. Passport, Drivers licence, Photo ID card, Student card)

Please note: As of 13th December, 2008 Proof of Age cards are no longer valid forms of photographic identification. All Proof of Age cards must be changed over to the NSW Photo Card available from the Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW.
