On-Site Training

Apply First Aid - NSW (HLTFA301B)
 
This one day course is NSW VETAB approved and is designed to provide knowledge, skills and attitudes deemed necessary for giving competent care to the ill or injured until medical aid arrives.
 
 
Course Requirements:
  • Chairs and tables
  • White board
  • Large carpeted floor space for practical sessions
  • TV/DVD Player
Duration: 8hrs
 
Pre-Requisites: Students must collect a First Aid Workbook and Manual which they must complete prior to attending their scheduled class.
 
Who should complete this course: This course is suitable for any and every individual.
 
Course Content:  

  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
  • Fractures and dislocations
  • Burns & scalds
  • Head, chest and spinal injuries
  • Fainting and unconsciousness
  • Bandaging techniques
  • Severed limbs
  • Poisoning, bites, stings plus much more

Assessment: Assessment is both practical and theory.
 
Outcome: On successful completion of this Nationally Recognised qualification, participants receive a Statement of Attainment in “Apply First Aid HLTFA301B” incorporating HLTCPR201A Perform CPR and HLTFA201A Provide Basic Emergency Life Support.
 
Individual Requirements:
  • Pen
  • 1 form of Photo ID (i.e. Passport, Drivers licence, Photo ID card, Student card)

Please note: As of 13th December, 2008 Proof of Age cards are no longer valid forms of photographic identification. All Proof of Age cards must be changed over to the NSW Photo Card available from the Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW.
