On-Site Training

Blue Card - WA (Construction Safety Induction)
 
Since 1st January 2007, it has been compulsory for ANY person working on a construction site in WA to have a Safety Awareness Training Card, or Blue Card. The Safety Awareness Training Course has been developed to meet the requirements of the legislation and is accredited by WorkSafe under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).

Course Content:
  • Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Law in Australia & WA
  • Duty of Care Requirements – All Parties
  • Safety and Health Representatives and Committees
  • Resolution of Workplace Issues
  • The Right to Refuse Work
  • Applying Workplace Policies and Procedures
  • Reporting and Documentation Requirements
Assessment: At the end of the course you are required to successfully complete a multiple choice assessment.
 
Outcome: Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be issued with a Construction Safety Awareness (Blue) Card that is valid for 3 years.
 
BCITF Refund: Participants already working in the construction industry are entitled to a rebate of 80% of their course fee from the Building and Construction Industry Training Fund (BCITF). For people booking online, refund application forms will be issued on the day of training.
